An American rapper from Manhattan, Rakim Athelaston Mayers (A$AP), member of the hip-hop collective A$AP Mop, Moniker was adopted from this. His single "Peso" was leaked online and within weeks received radio airplay in August 2011.

The achievement and popularity recognition of his mixtape led to his contract with the label "Polo Grounds Music, RCA Records, and also with Sony Music Entertainment. His debut studio album is Long. Live. A$AP (2013) debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 chart and became certified double platinum by the RIAA. The album was then preceded by Rocky’s hit single, “Fuckin’ Problems” (featuring Drake, 2 Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar), which was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Rocky's At. Long. Last. The second album was released in 2015, which was successfully his second album to debut on the Billboard 200 chart at number 1. “L$D”, was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2016 Grammy Awards which was the album's single. Right after some while, Jiggy released his 3rd album in 2018. Interestingly, his third album elevated to the top 5 in seven countries, not excluding the Billboard 200 again. In the music industry, A$AP got two Grammy awards nominations and he has won several other awards and a place in the hearts of his fans
